Wholeness House is a faith-based organization that will be dedicated to offering women, women with children and, eventually, families with shelter regardless of age, race, religious affiliation or sexual orientation. But Wholeness House will be more than a shelter. It will be a refuge in a home-like setting welcoming each individual whose life has been disrupted with homelessness due to a number of life situations including age, job loss, protracted illness, the death or abandonment of a spouse and weather-related or environmental disasters.
What We Do
It will be our goal at Wholeness House to provide not only refuge but also to equip each person with the vital skills, training and hands-on experience necessary to obtain gainful employment and restore a purposeful life free from the situation that initially brought them to Wholeness House. Our goal will be achieved through the various programs offered by the numerous affiliations of Wholeness House. Each of these programs will be administered by our caring, supportive and experienced staff members and volunteers, who are committed to help the residents and non-residents of our outreach programs return to productive living. Our outreach teams are currently administering these services as we await the acquisition of our residential facility.
Programs
Our training programs will be as diverse as our residents and non-residents. Each one will have access to training in a wide variety of industries and personal interests. These areas will include but are not limited to customer service, food preparation, warehouse management, massage therapy, inventory control, restaurant management, certified nursing assistance and computer technology. Each person will also learn valuable life skills and values to assist them in the transition back to substantial living.
